Mooring

Oil on canvas, 9x6, SOLD

Yesterday I sat at my easel listening to an Eckart Tolle
CD and painting. It was great re-listening to The Power
of Now. When I listen to him I become so very present
and still. It was very refreshing. He spoke on how artists
know that creativity comes from the place of presence.
I know that when I am really in the groove I enter a
place of timelessness, excitement, and total presence
with the piece.

I repainted 3 of my small pieces yesterday. I am trying
to finish my small format reworks before I get into the
larger ones I want to rework.

i know that place of presence in my writing, but it seems to be strangely absent lately. maybe i should switch over from don henley and john hiatt to a little tolle? lovely piece!

Eckart is quite amazing. Thank you. Reminds me a little of Navigation.

I find I'm more stiff and a bit intimidated at working on larger size canvases. My solution is to have at least two small ones in the works at the same time as one larger painting. The small ones to loosen up on... then I jump over to the larger canvas. - I enjoy both your abstract and your figurative styles. This particular one seems to have a restrained energy. Aaw! The title is "Mooring" - it fits the image.

Chewy nice to meet you. I am more comfortable with large paintings. Staying free in these small paintings is a huge challenge. That's for stopping by.

Jeane thank you. I have been exploring blues more in the last few months. It is fun, but these little ones drive me a little bonkers.
