Long Tall Sue

Charcoal and ink on sanded paper, 30"x22"
Collection of Prem and Binny Arcot.

Summer, I have discovered is a difficult time for
blogging. Number one reason being that sitting in
front of a computer is one of the last places you
want to be. Same with most everyone else, so the
interaction is thin. People are slow in getting back
to me on the Art and Meaning project. But, hold,
on to your horses folks there is a good one in the
wings getting prepared.

This piece is obviously from the the same pose as
the painting 'Susan'.

Let me be the summer-exception then ;-) Great piece-I'm prefering it over the painting, maybe that's just me. I love the ochre-region-shade on her left flank and how it looks as if it's continued downwards over her leg. Powerfully constructed. Totally lovely!

Ria thank you for visiting. I think this piece is the more successful of the two. I also think it is the most successful drawing on collage I did. I love what happens working on sanded collage.
