Satellite Gallery Show

Front window-Crescent Moon Bear
collaboration with Cindy Bilotti
Front room of gallery.
Front room/hallway

Small room.

It feels good to sit in front of the computer again with
the intention of going back to work on the blog. I have
missed all of you. I am going to try to get into the studio
this week and do something as I am getting unbearably
grouchy. Then I will have something to post.

I had my show opening Thursday at Satellite Gallery
with Frank Janzen, master printmaker at Crow's Shadow'.
It was a treat spending time with him and his wife Marie.
The show is a beauty, if I dare say so myself. Our work
complemented each others very well. His art in the show
was lovely colorful fused glass sculptures. The turn
out was fair. For those of you who do not live in the area
I share these pictures so you too can attend the show.
There are more pictures on my flickr page.

My thanks to Don Gray for orchestrating the placement
of my paintings. Thank you also to Don, Melissa Over,
and Stephanie Messersmith for hanging my part of the show.
Thank you Chris Jennings at the gallery, there would be no
show if not for him.

Katherine,
I had no concept of how little blog visiting I've done in the last month, until I saw the photos of your show on Flickr, followed them here, and read about your accident. I am SO sorry that you went through such a horrible, painful ordeal, especially while you were trying to prepare for this show. The show does look amazing, though, and I only wish I had been in your part of the world to attend the opening and celebrate. Although I know you're used to seeing your paintings hung in a collection, I've never seen them this way before, and they look even more joyous hung together. Congratulations!

Jeane I wish you could have been there also. In fact I wish you could have all been there!

Thank you Mary Ann, I loved having the collaborative piece in the window. This show was all about being influenced by the collaboration so it felt perfect.

Kathy thank you for your well wishes. I wish you had been there also. Actually this was the first time I saw this body of work all together in a show.

Thank you Zappha. I loved what you said in Flickr, about standing proud. It felt so pathetic to be in a wheelchair for the opening.

Thank you Roc, nice to hear from you.

Thanks Uta...next time we'll have to time the maintenance of our private jets so we can go to each others shows! :^}
